VIENNA:  

KÄRNTNERHOF (***): The charm of Old Vienna concentrates in this centrally located hotel, with a warm family atmosphere. Intimate: with only 43 rooms, most of them with bath or shower and WC.  Spacious: with 3 suites, ideal for a family of for a long-term stay.  Lovable and reliable: with a large number of regular guests, impressed by the kindness and the efficiency of the staff. The rates are also part of the success of the hotel Kärtnerhof: being among the best value for money in the city center. 

It would cost about EUR 70 - 89 for a Single-room with bath/shower/WC. A Double-room with bath/WC is EUR 90 -138. A Triple with bath/WC is only EUR 140 - 175, and an Apartment/Suite EUR 170 - 218. Dependign on low - high sesons. Prices are per room, per night, including a hearty Viennese buffet breakfast, service and taxes (major credit cards accepted). 

Service is anticipating. The reception dedicates itself in booking any good show (theatre, opera, concert…) within minutes. Individual program can be managed with a smile. 
 

Last but not least, the hotel Kärtnerhof is ideally located in a peaceful street, just a shot from St. Stephen´s Cathedral, in the heart of Vienna’s. All the tourist attractions are within easy reach. There are also many antique shops, fashions boutiques, and restaurants of any category. Businessmen will like the proximity of the main banks and companies headquarters. 

One of the best choices you can make for a charming, central and affordable stay in Vienna. 

ZUR AGNES (***): We loved at first sight this lovely "Gasthof", located in Sievering. Less touristy though even more charming than the neighbouring Grinzing hills, this is one of the greenest residential high-class area, a short distance Northwest of central Vienna. Great place, indeed, to enjoy both nature and animation: many typical Viennese taverns called "Heurigen", where original local wine (light, slightly sparkling and delicious) can still be tasted, stand a few meters away from the hotel Zur Agnes. This is where the popular Viennese atmosphere still survives. Staying in this area is a must for tourists, indeed. Though family oriented, the hotel would also offer businessmen a much relaxing after work contrast: at the edge of the Viennese forest, but only 25 minutes from the Ring. There is a bus stop just 5 meters away, and parking for who comes by car. 

The hotel Zur Agnes 8 charming, cosy and recently refurbished rooms are accessible through a very pleasant garden. Fitted for comfort, they are 32-42 sq.m., designed in natural wood in two and three bed execution.  Three star, they all come with shower, WC, telephone and Sat TV equipped. Hotel facilities include a bar, a sauna, and a pool with solarium. Rates are money saving, and comprise a generous Fruehstuecksbuffet (typical Viennese buffet breakfast). A double would cost US$ 68 - 82, depending on the season. A triple room is US$ 96 - 107. Very interesting package are available on request. Visa credit cards are accepted for payment and booking.

SALZBURG: 
 

HOTEL TRUMER STUBE (***): Located on a very quiet and picturesque historical lane, in the whole heart of the Old City-Centre, between the famous "Mirabellgarten" and the "Staatsbrücke", and a short walking distance from Mozart´s Home, the hotel Trumer Stube is one of the most popular address in Salzburg.  

Recently renovated with elegance and comfort, the hotel Trumer Stube didn't get rid of its warm and lovely Austrian-style atmosphere. Linked by elevator to the intimate lobby, rooms are fitting tourists, families (very nice and comfortable 3bed - 4bed-rooms for those travelling  with one, two or three children) and businessmen highest requirements: equipped with private shower and toilet, they all provide multi channel cable TV (with CNN). There is telephone and internet access for guests in the lobby.  

Rates are actually good value for money, and worth our "First Class on The Cheap" warm recommendation: public rates go from  Euro 89 to 105 for a comfortable double room. Not that more expensive in the high season, rates for a double then go from Euro  118 to 132. Triple and 4x are available at money saving rates (from Euro 96 to 165). Including a generous breakfast.  The hotel management remains at permanent disposal for any package or special arrangement. 

The hotel Trumer Stube has been quoted in many travel books for years: we therefore advise our readership to ask for a confirmed booking, available either by credit card or by traveller cheques. 

Due to the very central location of the hotel, you won't need your car: parking is possible in the street nearby, or in the Mirabell-garage at a daily fee.  It is pleasantly located in a  pedestrian zone; but guests'cars are allowed to come to the hotel for  luggage transfer. 

The hotel is closed for vacations from February 1st to March 13th, 2011. 

A nice place to fully enjoy the authentic Salzburger hospitality.
